We went out to The Bridge in Newcastle to catch up with our friends Acoustica (Andy & Cath). Andy plays various guitars and Cath plays guitar, violin and accordion (mustn't forget the shaky eggs!) and, of course, they both sing too. It was a grand night and they were ably supported by John Brindle & Dennis Makepeace.
The room filled up nicely and there was a good atmosphere. The audience included the likes of Terry Ferdinand and Catherine, Trev and Brian of Few Broth, Chris Milner and other friends from the local music scene.
We were treated to some great music and got to hear (and play before the show) Andy's Nashville tuned small-bodied Yamaha guitar - certainly makes a very interesting sound... something we will look at trying out in the jiva camp!
