First visit by us in 2009 to this friendly folk club in Hartlepool. There was a fairish crowd this evening and a good mixture of songs sung a cappella and/or accompanied by mandolin, guitar, piano accordion and ukulele banjo.
For our first spot we began with Allan Taylor's 'Back Home To You' and then a first time outing for our newest song, 'When'. It's becoming a tradition that our new songs have their first airing at the Foggy Furze.
We were asked to finish the night, and happily obliged with 'Louise' (Paul Siebel) and 'Sonny' (Ron Hynes) - the first to rapt, pindrop-silence attention, and the last with the whole room joining in. Magic!
